Pomarão is a small town located in the border area of the municipality of Mértola, with an identity strongly defined by its relationship with the Guadiana River.
The richness of its cultural and industrial heritage lives largely on the importance of its Port, once the main outlet for ore from the S. Domingos Mine.
The proposal aims to create new centers of outdoor social space, designed to enhance the relationship with the built space and the river, and simultaneously rescue the memories of this picturesque town for urban living.
